The primary role of the Strategic Alliance Manager for Tri-state (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) is to increase awareness, alignment, and collaboration with select Presidio manufacture partners to drive new sales. This role has direct interactions with sales and marketing and includes proposing and supporting events, campaigns, trainings, content, incentives, and market intelligence in an effort to enhance and grow existing and new customer engagement. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for the channel and background in distribution and sales. He/she will have experience presenting technical solutions and value propositions to decision makers and will be expected to cultivate positive relationships with counterparts in assigned partner organizations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the single point of contact with select strategic partners and set regional channel strategy, go-to-market and account plans, and forecasting
  • Liaison with Presidio corporate and other regional alliance/channel teams to ensure alignment of activities across the company
  • Coordinate introductions and alignment between Presidio and partner sales and technical teams
  • Track active pipeline with partners and provide deal support when needed
  • Support Presidio leadership in the creation of discounting, promotion, and sales and marketing incentive programs
  • Support regional leadership in the identification and allocation of partner marketing development funds for events and campaigns
  • Coordinate partner-related mixers, calling campaigns, and trainings
  • Support regional customer events and demand generation campaigns as needed in an effort to enhance and grow existing and new customer relationships
  • Represent channel function in senior leadership commitment and quarterly business review meetings
  • Develop and execute channel related communications to internal stakeholders
  • Orchestrate the creation and distribution of partner-related market intelligence and sales enablement content
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 4yrs of experience in a channel, sales, or marketing role
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and willingness to collaborate with a team
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Dynamic and flexible personality with positive attitude
  • Outgoing and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours to manage event execution as needed
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% in the Tri-state area
