Our Tri-State team is seeking a multi-faceted, high-end Sr. Network Engineer who will be servicing our customers on a daily basis. You will have the ability to work alone or in a team environment. You will be managing small to large *projects* on your own. This can include design to troubleshooting (project engineering for New York Tri-State area is primarily Cisco-focused). You will be responsible for projects, MACD (Move Add, Changes and Decommission) work, and repair at multiple customer sites across the New York Tri-State area.  You possess excellent troubleshooting skills and have flexibility with hours. You will be in possession of your own vehicle.

Training is available in advanced technologies.  Eligible for plus additional compensation for evenings and weekends.

Job Requirements:

  • We seek a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other technical concentration, or the equivalent work and/or military experience
  • We seek an active Cisco® CCIE certificate or equivalent experience.
  • We seek a minimum of 10 years of strong Routing, Switching experience providing project deliverables in a VAR/Integrator environment
  • Solid documentation experience with Microsoft® Office product suite
  • We seek strong knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting using Cisco Best Practices:


§  NX-OS

§  Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP

§  Qos

§  L2 / L3 Architecture and Design

§  Multicast

  • Potential candidates will possess experience and demonstrate expertise in many of the following areas:
  • Data Center / Core design, configuration, and implementation utilizing Cisco Nexus Architecture (9K, 7K, 6K, 5K, 3K, 2K, 1000V). Familiar with the following technologies: 

–              VDC

–              VPC

–              VXLAN

–              OTV

–              NSX

–              Programmability

  • Cisco Catalyst family of products – Catalyst 9K,6K, 4K, 3K, 2K
  • Design, Configuration, and Tuning of Industry leading network security products.
  • Excellent understanding of VPN architectures —Site to Site, SDWAN , Remote Access Client (IPSEC/SSL), DMVPN
  • Cisco ASA / FirePower Firewalls – HA, Multi-Context, Routed and Transparent mode, NAT, AMP

Preferred Requirements:

  • We seek strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • ACI experience is highly desirable
  • Palo Alto Firewall (Basic and Next-Gen Features), Panorama, and Traps Endpoint Experience
  • Cisco Wireless design, configuration, and troubleshooting for Enterprise and campus environments.
  • DNA, Viptela, SDWAN, SD Access
  • SDN – ACI, NSX
  • AWS & Azure Networking
  • Wireless Surveys, Site Assessments, and Audits using AirMagnet, Ekahau etc.
  • Cisco PRIME
  • NAC Solutions – Cisco ISE, ForeScout
  • Meraki (Wireless, Security Products, Switches, SDWAN)
  • Load Balancing - F5 (LTM, GTM, APM, ASM, AFM), Citrix NetScaler
  • Riverbed, Infoblox, Cisco Optical, NetBrain, FireEye, SolarWinds, SPLUNK, ESXi, VMWare
