Presidio is seeking a Solutions Architect Manager to be based out of our Wixom, Michigan office. This will be a customer facing pre-sales leadership position. The SAM is expected to work with the Presidio sales and delivery organizations, customers, and manufacturing partners for the purpose of transforming the customer experience through alignment of business goals and objectives to Presidio consulting services and solution architectures. You will also be responsible for partnering with our regional Director(s) of Sales and Director(s) of Professional Services to exceed annual goals for revenue, growth and profitability. You will continue to function as a Solution Architect for assigned key clients in addition to his/her leadership responsibilities. The SAM is also responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining top Solution Architect talent on their team. This is a critical role as Presidio continues to grow a strong solution-oriented sales and professional services business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Architecture Leadership: Lead and develop a team focused on solution sales, consulting and professional delivery services in our customer engagements. Be an example of how to lead the customer and team experience.
  • Technical Excellence: Maintain a high level of technical excellence and evangelism across multiple solution architecture areas.
  • Business Acumen: Understand customer’s overall business drivers and influences, and how to position Presidio to ensure a successful sales and implementation of our service and product portfolio. Be aware and in tune with industry, technology, and customer trends.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain long-term dedicated client relationships, as well as establish and attack/convert competitively held accounts.
  • Partner Relationships: Build credibility and strengthen relationships with manufacturer partner teams.
  • Provide direct SA work for assigned Key customers and aligned Account Managers.
  • Ensure Presidio’s Strategic Engagement Framework (SEF) is followed. Make sure all area presales efforts and paid services engagements are scoped to follow Presidio’s Strategic Engagement Framework to achieve quality, success, customer satisfaction, and regional profit goals.
  • Work with Executive Leadership to define the needs of the practice areas, and be a primary channel of communications to/from the region(s). Team with the Professional Services leadership to ensure quality of SOW, and that lines of communication are consistently and constantly open.
  • Work closely with Director(s) of Sales to develop and execute strategy and go-to-market plans.
  • Define and maintain a skills matrix of SA team to ensure proper coverage in strategic solutions and partners.
  • Coordinate with Marketing team to develop relevant and impactful customer events.
  • Provide mentorship and development of Solutions Architecture team to allow team members to achieve success in their individual roles. Assist with managing workload, setting proper expectations and acting as escalation point for the SA team.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 7-10 years combined experience in pre-sales, leadership, and/or management role
  • People management experience is HIGHLY preferred
  • The SAM will remain technically excellent while leading their team of Solution Architects to do the same.
  • Expert level knowledge of overall Networking, Security and Wireless technologies and architectures including, but not limited to:
    • Core Routing\\Switching technologies and protocols (BGP, IGRP, QoS, VPC, NX-OS etc.), SDN (NSX,ACI), Security (Next Gen Firewalls, EndPoint Security, Cisco ISE, NGFW, Umbrella, Palo Alto), Application Delivery and SD WAN (Cisco, F5, NetScaler, Riverbed) and Wireless (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki).
  • Advanced level understanding of the market segment business and technical requirements
  • Strong knowledge of/and fluency in articulating; features, functions, benefits, and positioning of Presidio Solutions and services in reference to industry. Ability to apply this knowledge to address customer business requirements
