We have some exciting opportunities for Solution Architects to join Presidio, Inc. in our North Central Area!!
Due to continued growth, we are looking to add Collaboration Solution Architects, Network Solution Architects, and Wireless Solution Architects to our teams in both Caledonia, MI, and Chicago, IL.  Listed below you will find the specific position descriptions for these roles.  If you are interested in either opportunity please apply and a member of our Internal Recruiting team will give you a call.
 
Collaboration Solutions Architect
As a Collaboration Solutions Architect, a member of the Pre-Sales Engineering Team, the candidate will be responsible for meeting with Presidio’s customers, collecting requirements for business solutions related to network and security projects and developing engineering solutions for sale to Presidio customers.
 
A successful Collaboration Solution Architect the candidate will be responsible for meeting with Presidio’s customers, collecting requirements for solutions relating to collaboration and developing technical solutions.  The Solutions Architect will work directly with Presidio customers along with the Presidio team, including Account Managers, other Solutions Architects and Business Development Managers.  The main focus of this role will be to efficiently provide accurate configurations (Bills of Material), professional services engagement estimates, write Statements of Work, provide Visio diagrams and most importantly be able to communicate the overall design to audiences with varying degrees of technical experience.
 
Candidates will need to demonstrate a high level of design experience with the various Cisco product suite as well as other Collaboration solution such as Microsoft.   Experience with, and competitive knowledge of, other collaboration products to understand the overall industry is advantageous. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical sales support for Presidio Account Managers and develop solution proposals for customers based on their technical and business requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact with the customer for all technical issues during the all pre-sales phases including addressing design and proposed integration concerns and pricing.
  • Interface with internal cross-functional teams and external third-party vendors to ensure on-time delivery of technical proposals to customers and accuracy of designed solution.
  • Remain current on the latest technologies that align to our business initiatives.
  • Conduct research on technical details and specifications to assist with RFP responses and customer inquiries.
  • Create high-level solution drawings (Visio)
  • Continually pursue knowledge on latest trends, product releases and vendor offerings
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in the English language and reading comprehension.

  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently with many interruptions.

  • Must have strong Visio skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present solutions to customers, respond to RFP/RFQ’s, and to develop strong written proposals.
 
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience working with Cisco Collaboration (Cisco Communications Manager, CSR, Unity Connection, Contact Center Express, Presence Telepresence, WebEx and Spark, associated Cisco UCS and VMware) solutions.
  • Understanding and experience in designing and quoting a variety of 3rdparty Collaboration solutions. Examples Red Sky, Singlewire, Synapps, ISI, etc.


 



Preferred Experience:

  • CCNA or higher certification is preferred.
 
General Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Minimum of 4 to 6+ years of experience, which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in enterprise class network and security solutions.
  • One or more of the following certifications: CCNA/CCDA/CCNP and other non-Cisco certifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft UC (preferred).
  • Experience in a Value Added Reseller (VAR) environment also preferred

Network Solutions Architect
As a Network Solutions Architect, a member of the Pre-Sales Engineering Team. The candidate will be responsible for meeting with Presidio’s customers, collecting requirements for business solutions related to network and security projects and developing engineering solutions for sale to Presidio customers.
 
A successful Network Solutions Architect (SA) should be able to present and explain various network infrastructure technologies (LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, SD-WAN) to customers, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.
 
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of enterprise class solutions from partners such as Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, VMware and other network infrastructure manufacturers. Candidates must have a solid understanding of network design principles based on industry best practices.
 
Candidates will need to demonstrate a high level of design expertise, be highly motivated about learning new products and technologies, be able to effectively communicate with customers (both verbally and in writing), ensure superior customer service, and maintain strong customer relationships. 
 
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Develop high-level technical solutions and present to customers (Hardware, Software, Licensing, Professional Services)
  • Ability to self-pace and self-set direction in a team environment to drive business
  • Work with Account Executive/Extended Sales Teams to develop customer relationship and solutions and assist in overall sales process
  • Maintain and develop technical and technology specific skill sets and certifications
    • Collecting business and technical requirements
    • Complete end-to-end, full life cycle network designs
    • Driving whiteboard conversations
    • Create customer facing presentations
    • Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations
    • Generate hardware configurations (BoM)
    • Write statements of work (SoW) and develop Professional Service pricing utilizing Presidio tools.
 
Required Skills:
Candidate will be able to demonstrate technical and design expertise based on past/present experience in deployment, administration, configuration, or integration.  Experience working as a consultant or network architect is desirable.  Candidate should have a strong knowledge of networking technologies and products. 
 
Product Experience:
  • Cisco Security Portfolio (ASA, FTD, ISE)
  • Cisco Enterprise Networking (Nexus /Catalyst Switches; ISR/ASR Routers)
  • Cisco Wireless
  • Cisco Meraki
  • Palo Alto NGFW
  • F5 TMOS
  • Skype for Business (preferred)
 
Networking Experience:

  • IP Routing, Router & Switch sizing
  • Advanced Network Design & Architecture

General Experience:

A successful Wireless Solutions Architect (SA) should be able to present and explain various network infrastructure technologies (WLAN, NAC, 802.11 WiFI) to customers, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.
 
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of enterprise class solutions from partners such as Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Palo Alto, and other network infrastructure manufacturers. Candidates must have a solid understanding of network design principles based on industry best practices.
 
Candidates will need to demonstrate a high level of design expertise, be highly motivated about learning new products and technologies, be able to effectively communicate with customers (both verbally and in writing), ensure superior customer service, and maintain strong customer relationships.
