Due to continued growth, Presidio is hiring a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our Secure Networks Practice at our Reston, VA and Fulton, MD office. Senior Network Security Engineers perform complex technical design and implementation of security solutions and other technologies common in the enterprise network environments. This role is specifically to help secure and maintain Presidio’s customer data environment that supports critical applications and services in the Virginia, Maryland and DC area.
 Job Description
  • Lead Engineer for customer projects including design, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of data/security networks environment
  • Working effectively with the Secure Networks Practice team to successfully implement solutions
  • Network routing/switching configuration and deployment in medium to large enterprise environments
  • Provide network and security consulting services, including: assessment, design and implementation in datacenter and network environments
  • Assist client through planning, design and implementation of advanced networking/security solutions
  • Develop comprehensive graphical and detailed design documentation and effectively manage the implementation phases from design to customer acceptance
  • Provide engineering consulting services reporting to locations in the VA/MD/DC metro area
  • Clients may request that the engineering resource to travel from time to time to various office locations in major U.S. cities
  • Support project and delivery timelines based on priorities set by the business or customer
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of the following:
    • Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco is a must, Nexus strongly preferred)
    • Firewalls/VPNs (Cisco is a must, Palo Alto/Check Point are a plus)
    • IDS/IPS solutions (Sourcefire/FirePOWER highly desired, Palo Alto a plus)
    • Network Access Control solutions (Cisco ISE highly desired)
    • Content Security (Cisco ESA/WSA/CWS are a plus)
    • Malware Prevention (Sourcefire/FirePOWER highly desired, Palo Alto a plus)
    • Authentication solutions (TACACS and Cisco ACS highly desired, RSA is a plus)
    • SIEM solutions (Splunk, SolarWinds, QRadar are a plus)
  • Minimum 4 to 7 years of technical hands-on engineering experience, including configuring, analyzing and troubleshooting complex environments
  • CCNP Security, Route/Switch – Preferred
  • Industry security certification such as CISSP and CEH are a plus
