Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead Engineer for customer projects including design, implementation, testing, and support for new deployments, expansions, environment refresh and upgrades. This includes troubleshooting for all customer environments.
  • Creates technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation plans, configurations, and change orders.
  • Lead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Configures network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networking devices from multiple vendors.
  • Provides peer reviews of implementations, configurations, and documentation for team members.
  • Assists and mentors other team members with deployment or best practices.
  • Engages in continuous learning to stay abreast on new and emerging technologies.
  • Obtain vendor-related certifications, to enhance professional development and our corporate standing with our vendors.
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with peers at vendor partners

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting, and usage of Cisco Recommended Practices a must. The candidate must know a majority of these Network Design and Configuration elements:
    • Spanning-tree, VTP, Port Channels, Load balancing, SPAN
    • Routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
    • MPLS traffic engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting
    • LDP, TDP, RSVP Label distribution
    • MPBGP-VPNv4, Multi-VRF and VRF-Lite
    • Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR, Meraki
  • The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Extensive knowledge and experience of Network Security, including the design, configuration, and tuning of:
      • NAT, ACL configuration
      • IPSec and SSL VPN, DMVPN,
      • Cisco NAC integration with data and wireless infrastructure
      • Cisco ASA, FTD, FMC, ISE
      • Palo Alto
    • Strong background in Wireless communication design, configuration
      • Configuring Lightweight and Autonomous APs, WLAN Controllers
      • Mobile Device Management
      • Cisco Aironet, WCS, Meraki
      • MobileIron
    • Load Balancing
      • F5 LTM, GSM, APM, etc.
      • Citrix Netscalar

Education, Experience and Certification:

Experience that demonstrates a significant level of expertise in Networking and Cisco Products

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant Cisco or industry Certifications strongly preferred
    • CCDA/CCNA or CCNP/CCDP
    • CCIE desirable
  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree (preferably Electrical Engineering, Computer Science), or equivalent work/military experience
