We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Network Engineer in our Denver, CO location. (Regional clients, minimal overnight travel)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Engineer for customer projects including design, implementation, testing, and support for new deployments, expansions, environment refresh and upgrades. This includes troubleshooting for all customer environments.
  • Creates technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation plans, configurations, and change orders.
  • Lead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Configures network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls and other security devices/appliances from multiple vendors.
  • Designs and deploys management and security control software such as Cisco ISE and Prime.
  • Provides peer reviews of implementations, configurations, and documentation for team members.
  • Assists and mentors other team members with deployment or best practices.
  • Engages in continuous learning to stay abreast on new and emerging technologies.
  • Obtain vendor-related certifications, to enhance professional development and our corporate standing with our vendors.
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with peers at vendor partners

Required Skills:

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of certifications and experience is required
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting, and usage of Cisco Recommended Practices a must. 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision making skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks with minor supervision.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills.
  • Solid documentation experience with Visio, Word, Excel
  • Ambitious and goal oriented, with initiative to work until job is complete.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

The candidate must know a majority of these Network Design and Configuration elements:

  • Spanning-tree, VTP, Port Channels, Load balancing, SPAN
  • Routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
  • MPLS traffic engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • MPBGP-VPNv4, Multi-VRF and VRF-Lite
  • Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR

Extensive knowledge and experience of Security, including the design, configuration, and tuning of

  • NAT, ACL configuration
  • IPSec and SSL VPN, DMVPN,
  • Cisco ACS for network authentication, Authorization, and Accounting
  • Cisco NAC integration with data and wireless infrastructure
  • Cisco ASA, SourceFire
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine
  • Palo Alto
  • Other areas of knowledge and experience are as important.

The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Strong background in Wireless communication design, configuration
  • Configuring Lightweight and Autonomous APs, WLAN Controllers
  • Mobile Device Management
  • Cisco Aironet, WCS, Meraki
  • MobileIron
  • Load Balancing
  • F5 LTM, GSM, APM, etc.
  • Citrix Netscaler
