Our Tri-State practice is growing and we are looking to add a Senior Engineer to our Automation & Software Development team to be responsible for providing technical guidance to our customers during planning & design and to deliver automation and software development solutions. This is a full time permanent position supporting our clients in the Tri-State region and reports to a Managing Consultant for Automation & Software Development. Our office is located in New York City.
Job Responsibilities:
  • You will be delivering projects through Statements of Work transactions on time and under budget.
  • You will work with clients to structure project success to align with business goals
  • Lead discovery meetings and participate in detailed design whiteboard sessions
  • Define design requirements and articulates the designed solution to the client
  • Maximize customer loyalty through highly effective communication, precise work, exacting deliverable standards, and exceeding expectations during every phase of engagement.
Required Skills
Job Requirements:
  • We seek a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
  • You possess a minimum of 5 years of a healthy mix of Development, SysAdmin, Sys Engineering and/or TechOps.
  • We seek strong automation and scripting skills. Python and Linux shell.
  • You are comfortable working in a cloud based environment (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
  • You have experience using config management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
  • Prior experience designing, implementing, managing, and building container solutions is a plus.
  • Previous experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift and/or Swarm is a plus.
  • Experienced and comfortable operating in a GNU/Linux or *BSD environment
  • You possess next level thinking from planning & provisioning to monitoring, maintaining, and alerting.
  • We seek a solid understanding of git; Networking experience is a plus.
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools
  • Experience on Source Code Management, Continuous Integration/Delivery solutions
  • Experience in maintaining Linux based virtual machines on Test, Staging and Production environments 
  • Familiarity in supporting and maintaining, scalable enterprise-class applications in public or private cloud solutions
  • Experience with container management technology
  • Support highly available production environments
  • Hands on experience with monitoring/data collection tools
  • Experience in developing end-to-end build/release automation for complex solutions for large-scale enterprise systems
  • Knowledge of good coding practices towards measuring improved code quality and database concepts.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead technical discussions among software development engineers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
