Key Responsibilities:

  • The Provisioning Engineer is part of the Engineering Team; this team supports Presidio’s Managed Services 24x7 operation.
  • This position is responsible for configuring customer data and voice equipment for management & automation of network monitoring, and is responsible for managing our monitoring tools (Zenoss, Prognosis, CATOOLS, etc.). 
  • This role is also responsible for the staging and configuration of our data collection appliances that allow access to customer environments.
  • Working with customers and Presidio project managers to onboarding client devices into Presidio Managed Services tools. 
  • The engineer will be responsible for the provisioning of client devices into tools such as Zenoss and Prognosis. 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
  • Must have 2+ years in a managed services environment/managed services monitoring tools (ex. Nimsoft, Prognosis, NetIQ, Zenoss, CATOOLS, HP NAS)
  • Must have experience with configuring and deployment of Linux as well as one other operating system (Windows etc.)
  • Previous experience or familiarity with ITIL standards is required. 
  • Must have 2+ years experience with the following;
    • Server Hardware/Data Center Experience – Understanding physical server builds, resources, expanding hardware (memory and storage), 
    • ESXi 5.5/6.5 – VMware management and configuration, VCenter Administration, Storage, Networking, VM, and System configurations. Capacity planning VM’s.
    • OS Configuration – Centos/Windows - Centos – Emphasis on IPTABLES, navigating the OS via command line, service level command, basic shell scripts, vi to modify files, managing basic configuration and supporting several virtual interfaces and sub-interfaces.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Network - CCNA/Network +/CompTIA/A+ highly preferred
  • RHL – RHCSA (Centos is the Free licensed version of RHL) highly preferred.
  • MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate highly preferred.
  • Experience with Cisco voice servers (Call Manager, Unity Connection, UCCX, UCCE, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience with incident tracking products (ex. Service Now) is a plus.
  • Language experience or automation/scripting experience is a plus (Python, Pearl Scripts, Rundeck etc).
  • Understanding rack setup and PDU setups that feed/house the Servers.
  • Network – Sub-netting and the rest of the OSI model with emphasis on the physical layer, Datalink, network layer.
  • Windows – AD services, DNS records, Basic configuration and domain and NTP services
  • VMWARE- DCV (Data Center Virtualization / NV (Network Virtualization)
  • Packet capture using TCPDUMP (Router is Centos), OPENVPN knowledge
