We have an exciting opportunity for recent college grads to join our award winning and growing company as a Junior Project Manager!
 
The Project Manager Mentorship Program (PMMP) hires candidates locally and trains them centrally. As a Project Manager Mentorship Program (PMMP) participant you will be developed through this structured program that combines intensive training and on-the-job mentored experience.
 
In this intensive 2 year program you will work with Project Managers to manage day-to-day client interactions and expectations for multiple projects. You will have an introduction to the creation and management of task lists, project plans, communications, meeting minutes, and issues/risks/action items.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks, scope, schedule, risk/issues, budget, and billing.
  • Ensure task updates are received from Engineering team and customers and perform updates to project artifacts.
  • Perform Project Administration including but not limited to: agenda creation, meeting minutes creation and distribution, status reporting, budget tracking, all while learning how to manage customer relationships and communications.
After the Mentorship Program, you will transition into a Project Manager role.  Additionally, you will continue to work with an assigned mentor, team members, customers and direct managers to gain a full understanding of the services we provide to our many clients.
Required Skills
  • The successful candidate will have recently (May 2017/Dec 2017 or May 2018 Grad) completed his/her Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Business, MIS, Engineering, or related field of study .
  • Have 2 years of relevant work experience, through an internship or other mentorship program.
  • Understand the importance of a strong sense of urgency, communicating effectively and having a keen attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to work with others and solving problems.
  • Finds technology and innovation intriguing and like to have fun while approaching your work with passion and enthusiasm.
  • Understand the importance of doing things for the greater good and you are inclusive and approachable to those around you.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (and preferably MS Project), is a plus.
  • Technical proficiency; capability to learn high level skills in areas of networking, security, telephony, or computer systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills both verbal and in writing
  • Bonus: Project Management or Engineering experience in Cisco’s product line (Routing, Switching, Unified Communication, Data Center Virtualization using VMware and EMC product lines)
  • Bonus: Currently have any of the following certifications or willingness to start on the track to obtain: PMMP, A+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, OSHA, etc.
