The Network Services Practice Manager is a technically skilled, experienced professional who is responsible for the successful delivery of our network and security solutions. Candidates must be well versed in Routing, Switching, and Security infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a thought leader in current networking technologies as well as developing technologies such as SDN and SDWAN
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of 7-10 engineers, providing mentoring, leadership, day-to-day guidance, and support. The Practice Director is accountable for the professional and technical development of each member of the team, demonstrating by example the highest standards of architecture, implementation, and customer service skills.
  • Provide engagement oversight of in-flight projects ensuring projects are completed professionally, on time, and with high levels of customer satisfaction 
  • Interface with the Sales Engineering team and Sales team to manage and maintain optimum service delivery capacity
  • Review all proposals for Network and Security infrastructure to validate approach, time estimates, and appropriate pricing prior to presentation to customers
  • Establish relationships with our key customers to ensure the success of our partnership
  • Coordinate any required issue resolution tasks and communicate remediation plans with the customer and account team
  • Refine Presidio’s best practices as required to adapt to technology changes and implementation challenges
Additional Responsibilities
  • Reviewing final work product prior to customer submission including Detailed Designs, Testing and Migration Plans, and As-Built documentation
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Assure that the team is up to date on strategic technologies and create an environment that inspires individuals to learn and advance technically and professionally
  • Lead the hiring process of new engineers
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Experience leading an engineering team focused on delivery of networking and security solutions
  • Three to Five years of leadership experience (as a practitioner, team lead, or manager) regarding implementation, planning, troubleshooting, and documentation in a customer-facing environment
  • Five years of past hands-on experience in Cisco networking technologies including standard Cisco Routers and Switches (Catalyst and Nexus). These skills include:
  • Complex IP Routing environments including Campus Networks, Data Center Networking, WAN (private and public)
  • Advanced network services including Quality of Service (QoS), IP Multicast, and network stratification (VRF lite, MPLS, etc)
  • Security infrastructure including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), IDS/IPS, and Cisco / Palo Alto Firewall implementations including Internet, DMZ, and Internal in high-availability environments
Additional Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as SDN (Cisco and NSX) and SDWAN a plus
