We are seeking a Physical Security Technician with a strong track record of installing, and coordinating projects utilizing multiple manufacturers’ equipment and software services including card access control, IP based security video systems, intrusion detection and other electronic physical security sub-systems.  The ideal candidate would have comprehensive knowledge and deployment experience of Lenel, RS2, Open Options, Milestone, Avigilon and Bosch hardware and software systems.


•         Work with Presidio Account Managers to design solutions and develop bills of materials

•         Attend presales meetings with clients to assist in developing technology solutions

•         Verifies security system /equipment functionality by testing equipment, connections, and signals; identifying and correcting problems

•         Runs and installs wire, read blueprints, mount system panels and devices, and wire circuit and electrical connections for access control, Video Surveillance, and detection systems

•         Respond to customer service calls, troubleshoot issues and problems in the appropriate course of action

•         Stay current with latest hardware and software versions

•         Provide systems administration training to clients

•         Installation of Low voltage cabling

•         Reads and reviews project blueprints as required

•         Generate proper documentation throughout all phases of a project including closeout

•         Other duties as assigned



•         The candidate should have 2+ years of experience installing and servicing intergraded security and access/video systems or related experience.  Lenel, Open Options, RS2, Milestone, ONSSI, Aviliglon and Exacq Vision certifications are a plus

•         High School Diploma or equivalent is required as well as professional certifications

•         Experience installing IP cameras and/or NVRs

•         Understanding of and experience working with electrical circuits

•         Project  Management experience is desirable

•         Ability to work independently, manage projects, and exercise judgement in reaching solutions

•         Must be able to exercise effective time management skills (prioritize, work on a time line)

•         Must have ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

•         Must possess strong computer skills and have the ability to effectively use Internet and Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

•         Self-motivated and desire to succeed

•         Must possess strong organizational skills

•         Must possess strong mechanical skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses), respirator when required. Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, constantly moving about on the feet. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job. Possess good vision, normal or corrected and positively identify different colors of wiring. Must be able to comfortably climb ladders up to 20’, and operate mechanical personnel lifts up to 50’.
