As a Microsoft Unified Communications Engineer and a member of the Professional Services Team, the candidate will be responsible for meeting with Presidio's Commercial, SLED, and Enterprise customers, collecting requirements for infrastructure solutions and developing engineering solutions for sale to Presidio customers.  This REMOTE position can be based out of any US location with preference to Mid Western & West Coast regions.

A successful Microsoft Unified Communications Engineer will be expected to plan, analyze, design, test, deploy and migrate enterprise scale Microsoft Skype for Business environments. You will need to demonstrate functional knowledge and technical expertise in the Microsoft O365 and On-Prem Skype for Business environments, promote innovative solutions to our customer’s, and develop relationships with key customer stakeholders to help them achieve their business goals.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a high level of design experience, be highly motivated about learning new products and technologies, able to effectively communicate with customers, ensure superior customer service, and maintain a strong customer relationship. Candidates will also need to be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of business level requirements and how underlying technologies help deliver on those requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and deploying enterprise-wide, complex cloud and On-Prem UC solutions.
  • Leading technical discussions with senior customer executives that drive decisions and implementations.
  • Reviewing and managing technical requirements and business functional requirements for establishing new cloud and On-Prem UC solutions.
  • Designing architecture with Microsoft Skype for Business technologies that meets customer’s technical, security, and business needs for apps/workloads.
  • Work with Account Manager/Sales Team to develop customer relationships and solutions to assist in the sales process

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated passion for technology, solution design, and self-study
  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure support, design and/or implementation of Microsoft or similar technologies
  • Consulting experience with large scale implementations of Microsoft Lync and Skype for Business
  • In depth knowledge on the Microsoft Office 365 platforms with an architecture focus on Skype for Business
  • Experience and working knowledge with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service platform
  • Experience and working knowledge of Active Director Federation Services (ADFS), Azure Active Directory (AAD), and Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies
  • Experience with PowerShell and scripting
  • Experience with SBC technologies such as AudioCodes or Sonus
  • Experience with Polycom voice and video solutions
  • Experience working with telecom providers provisioning SIP trunks, PRI and analog lines
  • Experience with contact center products
