Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Federal Account Manager who will be responsible for driving sales with existing and new clients, as well as developing strategic planning activities for the federal sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engages the client at a business requirements level to gain an understanding of the business issues and objectives driving the client's needs
  • Identifies the need for, and engages the appropriate internal, vendor or partner personnel to assist with the requirements gathering for federal opportunities.
  • Maintain strong vendor partnerships related to the products, professional and managed services delivered against federal client opportunities.
  • Develop and implement account plans and approaches in line with the overall strategy formulated by the sales manager/VP
  • Identify and qualify leads, and generate new business opportunities in order to achieve revenue quota on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Build strategic working relationships with clients, maintaining a high level of face to face contact
  • Identify and build strategic relationships and leverage partners; manage partner relationships, roll out partner programs, manage partner sales and technical enablement and approve deal registrations
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing clients
  • Negotiate and close deals following the company’s practices and processes
  • Analyze potential sales opportunities by using data analyses, segmented research and information to identify the attributes most valued by the potential clients
Required Skills
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Must have government clearance
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience
  • Background in IT infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Cisco Systems products  strongly preferred
  • Must be based in DC area (VA/MD/DC)
  • Experience working with Federal government required
  • Experience working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) strongly preferred
