We are currently seeking a Director of Professional Servicesfor our California business.  The ideal teammate would be a passionate, authentic, and results oriented leader who will join our team to help drive relevance, impact, and loyalty in our customer and manufacturer partner base.  This teammate will also have a highly reputable track record of service delivery and engineering leadership, business acumen, technical excellence, and outstanding customer service.

The Presidio Director of Professional Services (DPS) is a customer facing, service delivery, leadership position.   The teammate who is hired, will be responsible for running all service delivery aspects of Presidio’s California business in the Commercial, Enterprise, SLED and Federal markets.

The DPS works with the Presidio Sales and Engineering organizations, customers, and manufacturing partners for the purpose of transforming the customer experience through effective ownership and delivery of Presidio services and solutions to match customer outcomes and success criteria.  The DPS will manage activities and people associated with project delivery success factors: profitability, resources utilization, on-time, on-budget and client satisfaction. The teammate selected will identify and build additional opportunities by fostering and expanding client relationships, cultivating additional revenue opportunities and collaborating with the sales team(s) to monetize those opportunities.

The DPS must serve as an evangelist, thought-leader and enabler for technologies, solutions, and Presidio both internally and externally. 

The DPS will partner with the Program Management Office, Director of Solution Architectures, and their peer group across the company to develop and hone service delivery and solution offerings that are attractive to our customers and partners, and are scalable and profitable for Presidio. 

This is a critical role as Presidio continues to grow a strong solution-oriented sales and professional services business. The DPS reports directly to the West Coast Area Vice President of engineering.


  • Demonstrate implementation improvement through automation.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction on all service delivery opportunities and projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage highly capable sub-contractor partnerships.
  • Develop technical expertise and competencies of service delivery team.
  • Optimize engineering billable utilization.
  • Ensure service delivery team follows industry and company defined practices to achieve project success, customer satisfaction, and regional profit goals.
  • Manage service delivery proposal reviews and approval processes.
  • Ensure accurate engineering scheduling.
  • Manage service team time reporting.
  • Manage, monitor, and control costs and expenses at/or below budget.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to support ongoing sales activities.
  • Recruit, hire and retain top performing service delivery talent.
  • Ensure effective team communications.
  • Proven track record of handling critical account escalations.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Experience which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in service delivery, solution engineering, technical troubleshooting, project management, people management, manufacturing partner engagement, and customer service
  • Must have 10 years of progressively successful career progression within an IT-related industry
  • Must have 5+ years of managing technical teams in a professional services setting
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise networks, mobility and security, unified communications, data center, and cloud technologies
  • Industry certifications such as those from ITIL, BOST, TOGAF, PMP, ISC2, ISACA a strong plus
  • Manufacturing Partner experience and/or certification
    • i.e.:  Cisco, Dell/EMC, NetApp, Pure, Nimble, Cylance, Palo Alto, etc.
