Presidio has an opening with our Software Licensing and Adoption Services team for a VMware Licensing Specialist. This is a customer facing sales engagement role providing front line support for our Account Managers and Solution Architects, helping determine the best software licensing solution for a customer’s needs.

Responsibilities/Job Function:

  • Customer Facing Licensing Solutions \u0022Consultant\u0022.
  • Evaluate and review complex licensing proposals/amendments.
  • Drive Net New VMware ELA licensing sales opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed VMware ELA sales targets.
  • Partner with Presidio sales and renewals teams to identify quality candidates for ELA discussions, develop proposals, define ROI and other value propositions and help present all of this to customers.
  • Play a leadership role for strategic VMware initiatives.
  • Define, document and train on a VMware oriented sales methodology that transforms the customer conversation and engagement from a transactional product discussion to a business value discussion.
  • Train Presidio Sales and Pre-sales teams on licensing programs, value propositions, etc.
  • Ensure Presidio is taking advantage of all programs and promotions to maximize profitability.
  • Promote Presidio’s consulting services capabilities.
  • Promote and recommend Presidio’s Adoption Services offerings along with licensing agreements.
  • Advocate Presidio’s capabilities back into the vendor partners.
  • Coordinate closely with Presidio Alliances, Marketing and other Business Unit teams.
  • Track and report on opportunity pipeline and results.
  • Provide regular updates in executive summary format to Presidio leadership team.
  • Document key wins and case studies.
  • Travel as required.

 Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years directly related industry experience.
  • Proven ability to self-manage on a day to day basis and make good decisions on time management and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal/presentation and written.
  • Ability to digest partner programs and communicate their impact and value.
  • Ability to learn and adopt to changing requirements and situations.
  • Ability to maintain a balance between planning and execution.
  • Relationship building that spans from Sr. Executives to individual contributors.
  • Strong focus on responsiveness to partners and internal teams.
  • Able to effectively collaborate across teams and depts. to ensure efficiency in processes.
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) required.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
