We are currently seeking a Technology Sales Account Manager to cover territory in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Presidio is the leading provider of professional and managed services for advanced IT solutions.  Our services and solutions enable our clients to maximize their return on investment in data center/virtualization, collaboration, security, mobility and networking technology.   More than 2,000 Presidio IT professionals serve over 5,000 clients in all 50 U.S. states, Europe and Asia.   Presidio addresses the complete technology lifecycle – helping clients in the private and public sectors plan, design, integrate, operate and optimize their IT infrastructure.  
 
Presidio solutions are developed with strategic partners, including Cisco, EMC who are the leading innovators in the IT industry.  Our unique capabilities and approach to serving our clients have translated into a track record of success. The Account Manager will be responsible presenting and selling technology solutions to solve organizational challenges in the information technology field, particularly to C-Level executives in the Commercial space. The Account Manager should be able to develop manage accounts to meet and surpass a multi-million dollar sales quota.  A working knowledge of Cisco, EMC are a plus. 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Sales Execution
 
  • Execute sales strategy by identifying customer needs and selling the appropriate hardware and company services
  • Develop business through multiple marketing and sales techniques including but not limited to cold calling, conducting in person meetings, and partnering with vendors or manufactures
  • Maintain a targeted understanding of customers’ business showing the ability to establish customer needs, buying cycles, and creating strong relationships to effectively drive sales and repeat business
  • Meet or exceed annual sales top line revenue and margin goals as defined by management.
  • Drive profitably and grow revenue for target accounts in partnership with inside sales team
  • Adhere to sales process including but not limited to pipeline development and accurate forecasting via internal tools
  • Performs extensive proposal writing and prepares sales information for customers
 
Account Management
 
  • Manage individual sales objectives to include sales orders and billing activities to support quarterly goals.
  • Manage on-going customer account relationship to include updating account information in company systems and resolving customer satisfaction issues.
  • Work with inside sales team to ensure that quotes are provided and order requests are processed accurately and with engineering team to accurately scope projects.
  • Manage past due invoice resolution with accounting to ensure proper collections.
  • Develop and maintain solid business relationships within the various decision-makers and influencers at all levels at each target account
  • Understand each target customer’s business model, map their organization and identify their unique technology needs
 
Strategic Planning & Presentation
 
  • Performs deep analysis of account base including “heat maps” to determine key areas of opportunities
  • Develop & execute marketing and business plans to drive revenue and profits
  • Work with sales leadership and team to provide feedback, develop specific vendor relationships, advance new company initiatives and mentor new employees to enhance all aspects of the sales strategy
  • Attends monthly/quarterly account planning/penetration sessions with our strategic manufacturing partners’ AMs
  • Presents a Quarterly Business Review (QBR) to Sales/Ops Manager each quarter which will focus on past performance and expectations of current quarter, analysis of pipeline, key wins, and personal improvement goals
  • Provide in-depth customer technology roadmap and collaboratively work with inside Account Manager to uncover new sales opportunities
  • Develop partnerships with Vendor Field Sales Representatives and optimize the joint selling opportunities within the territory
  • Use quarterly forecasting and pipeline management to manage sales growth
  • Collaborate on sales strategies, discuss account trends, advise changes within accounts and coordinate quotes and sales opportunities
Required Skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on persuasion and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent telephone skills.  
  • Knowledge and strong working relationship with at least one of Presidio's strategic partners: Cisco, VMware, EMC
  • Cisco (CCNA and Sales Essential) or EMC sales certification preferred. 
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Manage tactical opportunities into become long term strategic opportunities to consistent territory growth over 20% year over year.
  • Achieve sales objectives primarily through sales to new customers and also through sales of additional services to existing customers.
  • Ability to develop a new account base, establishes relationships, and close viable business opportunities.
  • Discover client business needs and propose appropriate technology solutions.
  • Manage territory, including account planning, vendor relationships, and opportunity management.
  • Achieve a minimum of $400,000 margin quota for both product and services during your first year of employment.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about Presidio’s products and services along with solutions from core vendors.
  • Provide excellent service to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Drive additional revenue in existing accounts by up-selling and cross-selling Presidio’s broad solution portfolio.
  • Properly forecast monthly, quarterly and annual revenue for assigned territory.
  • Must be a competitive, high achiever, who is persistent.

Required Experience
